Though one could forgive it's awfulness in light of it being one of the first commentary tracks on a Hong Kong DVD of a contemporary Hong Kong film (excluding a few tracks on U.S. releases of HK films by Tai Seng), one would be hard pressed to find a worse track. After a brief introduction in which director Benny Chan tells us who we'll be listening to (as well as a brief overview of the film), the track immediately cuts to snippets of interviews conducted for the film's electronic press kit and puff-piece documentary features. That said, you don't learn much. The entire track consists of comments from people who are not actually watching the film, which is not that good anyways, and virtually everything they say is the kind of light and fluffy things publicists would want them to say. This, of course, leads to invented stories of on-set cameraderie, endless co-star blowjobs and very little in the way of technical information. Skip it.
