Crystal keeps it light and not very technical. He does mention how some shots were constructed, but more often discusses story beats. He points out filming locations and various cameos as they appear. He reveals how many elements of the film are autobiographical and taken from his career and upbringing. He retained more props from this film than his others, as they felt like mementos belonging to a crazy uncle he might have had. He speaks to the use of Yiddish and shaping his character, who was quite unlikeable throughtout most of the film. There are quite often silent stretches. Paymer does not join until the 1:16 mark and does inject some life into the commentary but it still remains quite passive. They do reminisce about some aspects of their scenes together. Crystal does a bit over the closing credits as the reaction of an elderly woman to them.
