You have the choice to hear this in Japanese or translated in English. No subtitle option here, which I find very odd, given the subtitle option on the movie (which isnít dubbed) and the making-of. In any case, the translators do a good job, laughing and trying to capture the emotions of the director and actor. However, itís not as entertaining as I thought it would be. There are some funny parts, no doubt; Mr. Miike has a very special sense of humour, which makes for some very funny one liners sometimes. Itís just kind of unenthusiastic overall. There are many dead spots, even though they donít last too too long. The two men talk about some of the technical aspects of making the movie like the claymation and use of digital camera during the claymation scenes. They also talk about the actors, some symbolism, try to explain some of the jokes and wonder at how some of them will be translated in English. They do give out nice information, itís just missing some energy. Maybe itís the translatorsí fault or maybe itís just the director and actor that are boring, but I probably wouldnít listen to this track again. You do get some nice stories from the set and they do poke fun at the movie at times, but itís not what I expected.
