Cringe-inducing praise-fest for a very underrated movie, with "This is an interesting shot" and "That's a great shot" and "This is my favourite scene" platitudes padded out with an excessive amount of wink-wink humour and in-joke cameraderie and little in the way of worthwhile production detail. We learn how to tell real sub exteriors from underwater CG sub exteriors ad nauseum, with endless accollades afforded Peter Chiang and his crew. References to watching the film with audiences and seeing their reactions to the scary moments indicate the track was probably recorded before MiramAXE/Dimension buried the film on home video without much fanfare, likely while test screenings were still ongoing. The participants occasionally spot problem areas where audience members might not understand what's happening - one of the films major weaknesses is in its visual storytelling - but don't seem to be speaking in light of the film's theatrical no-show, another indication the track was recorded prior to the studio dump. This one's worth skipping, although the film itself is not without merit.

I thought this was going to be as boring as the deleted scenes commentary on the DVD (which I listened to first). I was wrong. The inclusion of those five actors really brought this thing to life. They kept teasing each other and cracking jokes. One thing I found nice was that Matt Davis doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. Mr. Twohy concentrates more on the technical stuff, telling people how some of the shots were made and such things. The five other clowns keep things funny. They sometimes ask questions about some things on screen but they mostly keep poking fun at each other. I'm happy with it; it was better than I thought it would be.
