There were two commentaries on my disc. This cast and crew track, and another with just Gissing and Ingram. Unless you have nostalgia for the 90s-00s Kevin Smith group commentaries, I would listen to the Gissing and Ingram track.

They had written the script years earlier but it started to come to fruition as they attracted the cast to the project from a visit to filming of Mallrats. They talk about shooting in Vancouver, the warehouse set which also served as housing, and the often disastrous living conditions. They filmed with a very low budget of 40k, thanks to support from Kevin Smith and Scott Mosieur, as part of funds from the Chasing Amy deal that Smith had inked. All of the production arguments centered around filmstock, time, and money. They admit that one of the scenes has
Braveheart influence. These guys realize that they made a polarizing film, respond to some criticism of it, explain some of their choices and themes. Ultimately, it is a very personal film about how they were feeling at the time.

The film received mostly negative but some positive reaction at Vancouver Film Festival. They voice their hatred for a couple of guys named Bob. Not the brother of Harvey.
