This was a little boring. The director is the main speaking part here, while he fills the time reasonably well with dialogue, it isn’t very exiting. He has no enthusiasm when he speaks and conducts the commentary in a very slow and uninteresting way. He talks about the scene and a few things from the production, but in no way does he do the film justice with his comments. Great movie, ok commentary, 5/10

Unenthused is a great description of the directors tone of voice, almost like he is watching a golf game. And he pulls the writer into that tone as well. However, the two of them do explain details in the various scenes, easily missed. Emotional and motivational arcs are pointed out. Stories about scenes that were changed or left out, casting and editing choices, and interesting behind the scenes moments, are all brought up.
Definitely not a waste of time, but does feel low energy as opposed to most commentaries by practically first time directors and writers.
