Chabrol only talks for 23 minutes here and comments on 16 scenes, but what he says is fascinating. He comments on camerawork, framing, blocking, performance, photography, editing, and why he prefers to work with women. Inexplicably, there are some shots of him recording the commentary which is in French but has English subtitles, and he only pauses briefly to watch the scene he is discussing.
