As a huge Night of the Living Dead and MST3K fan, I was excited to hear that Nelson was getting to do a commentary on one of my favorite films. I knew that he would rag on it, but I wasn't quite aware that it would be this harsh and not near as funny as I presumed. One can accept some good natured ragging for Night of the Living Dead: the budget was low, the actors amateur, and the sets thrown together. No big deal. Instead, Nelson rips into every part of the film like it was any other MST3K worthy film, and even then it's not as funny as his usual fare. In addition to all of this, he frequently goes into "cocktail" mode, in which he describes how to make certain themed beverages (in lengthy, boring, and unfunny segments.) Of all of the Nelson RiffTrax (from his website,) MST3K episodes, and Legend Films releases, I would say this is one of the worst. Only worth hearing once, if that.
