It’s great to hear two directors talk about their craft. Gordon praises Carpenter and mentions that during filming he often asked him questions and learned a lot about the filmmaking process. It’s a trip down memory lane for both men who joke and remember all sorts of good anecdotes in this relaxed and entertaining track.

Any commentary with John Carpenter is always entertaining. This one is special because you have the director and leading actor (who went on to directing too) sharing great stories about how certain scenes were developed, how various special effects were done, shooting techniques, and character interactions. Overall, a great time.

I thought this was a very good track. They both provide loads of interesting info., They are not afraid to make fun of themselves, and sound like they are both having a great time remembering the fun they had during filming. A fun listen if you enjoyed the film!

Agreed with all of the above reviews. If you've seen the film many times already, watching it with this commentary on will be a nice addendum. Mostly it's screen specific. Carpenter points out various tricks in the film or ideas he had in mind for certain scenes. Some on-set anecdotes here that were pretty funny. Technical info. And overall balanced discussion all the while being entertaining as a listening experience.
