This commentary pairs Director Ethan Wiley with producer Sean S.Cunningham. Wiley takes point from the start, giving a pretty thorough account of his background in theatre and special effects. He admits that cinematography was not his expertise, thus the veteran Mac Ahlberg was enlisted to help bring the vibrant "Second Story" to life. Wiley's connection to ILM, Chris Walas, and James Issac demonstrates the close-knit community of EFX people in the '80s. What sets this track apart is the glorious anecdotes concerning one Royal Dano. Perhaps these tales are apocryphal, but hearing of Dano's discovery by Alec Guinness while in the service, is astounding. Also, that Royal would be kind enough to buy a "double broiler" for Wiley's wife as a wedding gift, is equally charming. There are some gaps of silence, however, the bits of trivia concerning Kane Hodder, Bill Maher, and the cast' connection to Ellen DeGeneres are dispersed frequently enough to make this a worthwhile commentary. 8/10
