This is mostly likely taken from the First Run Features DVD from December 2000 and I think it’s Mr. Botes’ first commentary track. He mostly comments on what’s on screen and just about never veers into territory not directly related to what you’re saying. He does point out that, even though this movie is a hoax, they do make a mistake. The first feature length movie was made in 1906, two years before Colin Mackenzie’s. There are also a lot of silent bits. Mr. Botes doesn’t seem too intent on overloading the viewer with information and is quite relaxed. He also says he most expensive shot took about 20% of their budget. He points out the locations and how they pulled off some of the effects. It’s an okay commentary but I’m glad it’s only an hour.
