Cowie delivers another interesting and insightful view of another Bergman film. While one would imagine after so many hours that he would run out of things to say (and indeed he does repeat certain stories, but only the best ones)he treats Fanny and Alexander with special care here, and even manages to explain the different versions of the film while he's at it (in the opinion of this reviewer, the TV version is far superior.)
