The director James Cox has an immature, crass way of talking that is a bit off-putting and ultimately takes away from his ability to communicate ideas. The number of times a person can use the word fuck as a noun, verb and adjective is not a real accomplishment. People that do this tend to make me lose interest pretty quickly. The commentary becomes more about their own deficiencies, angst or personal issues. I don't care if someone uses the ocassional curse word as emphasis in the way I might. It becomes a problem when they adopt it as part of their confrontational, demonstrative personality. There have been times in my life where I've used swearing a lot more than usual. These are times when I'm angry and things aren't going right. It's been said that habitual pathological swearing indicate a person in pain and conflict. To do it openly to the public displays a level of contempt. Like as in "I don't give a shit what you think of me, fuck you". It's just poor behavior and for that I found this hard to get through because I knew I was listening to a moron or an asshole.
Other than that there is a lot of interesting info about the development and shooting of the film.
Cox also seems to really love blood and gore and might have been much better off making slasher flicks.
