Kershner is only midly interesting here providing a commentary that was recorded in 2002 that is only partially scene-specific. He tends to describe the narrative rather than give behind-the-scenes anecdotes and otherwise comments on the feminist themes of the period, working with Streisand, his production team, casting, locations/sets, rehearsal, photography and performance. He tries to justify the presentation of the fantasy sequences that make the film's treatment hard to read and made it a box office disappointment.
