Hickam talks at length about the authenticity of the film to the real-life events and people. He praises Gyllenhaal’s performance and provides many interesting anecdotes about what we are watching. This is a heartfelt, intimate commentary.

Being that the speaker wasn't a filmmaker or involved with the industry in any way, I was expecting a lot of dead air.

I was wrong, very few gaps, and everything said is pretty much as the other review had it.

I would've never listened to this commentary had it not been for the previous two reviews here. But I'm glad I did as Hickam delivers one of the most insightful commentaries I've ever heard. The anecdotes are not only interesting, but thoroughly engaging as well. For any fan of the film, or book, this is a must listen.
