There's not many commentaries I've given up on halfway through, but this is one of them. I must have missed the very beginning when they introduced who they were, so I went in 'cold'. I was still none the wiser a little later, until one remark informed me that they were involved with the visual effects side of the film. But you wouldn't figure it otherwise - it could be anybody watching this movie: "I like this bit here", "That's so cool", etc. It seems to be only two people doing the majority of the intermittent chatting, and for a film as visual-effects heavy as this, you'd think it would be a lot more informative and useful. I'm beginning to think that "FX artists" should be placed aside "actors" on the bottom rung of the Commentary Ladder.

They haven't watched this movie in years, so yeah this track suffers from "people who haven't seen the movie in years, so they're gonna watch it" syndrome.

They just laugh at every joke, praise every actor and line, praise the French and British crew.

Maybe if other members of the crew did the commentary, it would be great. Luc Besson refuses to a commentaries to his films, much like Spielberg.
