Director Rydell recorded this track either for an LD or early DVD release, since he mentions that the movie was made in 1980 and he's speaking "15 years later". Even though this sort of heavily reminiscent and digressive isn't at all my piece of cake, Rydell manages to never drop the ball and keep the commentary relatively objective. Fans of the movie will enjoy. I wish I could see how this track would stand up to the original author/screenwriter Ernest Thompson's track, but the recent Shout! Factory Blu-ray I imported has got all the extras from the Artisan DVD...but Thompson's commentary...!
