It's difficult to find Commentaries on films involving JVCD. So, I was pleasantly surprised to listen and hear Sheldon Lettich talk about his longtime relationship working with Van-Damme. Their partnership goes all the way back to "Bloodsport," through "LionHeart", and to this feature, "Legionnaire." Lots of information on pre-production (originally written for Stallone) and Locations such as Morocco and Algeria. But what makes this track noteworthy, is the bevvy of historical background about the French Foreign Legion. It is fascinating to learn about the origins of this band of mercernaries, and their practices around the world, from the early 20th century. Sometimes these older commentary tracks have poor audio, or contain huge gaps with "dead-air." Not so here, I guess it helps that Lettich is a writer as well as producer, so he has done alot of research about the subject matter. Cool track. 8/10
