Both participants have sharp memories of this underrated cult movie, but Weller, recorded separately from the late Cosmatos, is given over to narration after about 30 minutes (repeating the film's metaphoric underpinnings ad nauseum throughout and leaning towards play-by-play), leaving us to rely on the ever-reliable director for the lion's share of information regarding the production of his film. As such, he provides an engaging level of detail regarding the movie and how they made a battle royale between a man and an uncannily antagonistic rodent (doubled occasionally by a possum) seem much more mythic than it could ever be in real life, on both technical and subtextual levels. As such, and despite Weller's eager-but-unenlightening contribution, fans of this little gem should be happy with the information imparted on the track - indeed, we should be grateful that Warner saw fit to include a track at all for a film that so few people actually remember!
