There are some repeats from the documentary featured on the set. The commentary actually features a whole slew of participents including the editor Thom Noble, producer Lewis M. Allen, Herrmann expert Steven C. Smith, author Ray Bradbury, historian Annette Insdorf, and DVD producer Bouzereau, in addition to Julie Christie (who is absent from the documentary). They share their thoughts on the film and their experiences making it. Overall, a solid and informative track.

As Truffaut's Fahrenheit 451 is one of my favorite science fiction films, I truly expected the best from this commentary. I was sorely disappointed. Julie Christie speaks scantly throughout the track, often going 15 minutes or more without comment. The other commentators offer fairly little information of little interest and often go off on tangents. I counted more than 5 occasions when the commentators claimed to have no understanding of the actions in a given scene. "Well, you made the damn movie!" I wanted to shout. Perhaps my hopes were too high, but I strongly feel that a better commentary is necessary for such a clever film.
