This was the first commentary where i actually wanted to turn it off.
Im not sure if McTiernan just wasnt too fussed about this film or whether he is just very dry in all his chat tracks. . . . He didnt seem to have any passion about the film and told us what was happening on screen. . . Boring. . . .

I really enjoyed this com' as i thought it was very informative.
Yes, the director was very dry but that is just his way i think......see The Predator com as well.
Dare i say it but the film is actually better than the original!!!
I think the director might have thought he was walking in a big shadow whilst making this remake so thats why the com' is slightly subdued.

The more McT commentaries I hear, the more I KNOW Die Hard was the most informative into the process of his filmmaking. However, I can't blame him too much - it's just the way he speaks. And for his commentaries to be any more exciting they'd most definitely have to be edited or include someone else in the room. This one's pretty weak, you won't learn a whole lot about his process or the film.
