The recent Blu Ray release of "Stinks" led me to believe this track was recently recorded. Much to my surprise, this trio's track accompanied the DVD release more than a decade ago. The reference to "The Weakest Link" should have cued me in to that fact. Unfortunately, this track is "Life"-less. Haberman, a noted film historian, has previously enlivened tracks to "Dracula -Dead and Loving It," as well as the commentaries for the Boris Karloff series "Thriller." He provides no relief from the prolonged (and I mean long) stretches of silence. Amazingly dull and uninteresting, this track. Brooks does become inspired as the musical number unfolds. But, aside from earmarking the players who have since passed away, there is not a lot to chew on here. As Jay Sherman might exclaim,"It 'Stinks'!" 2/10
