I'm at the point now where I'll watch a John Waters film only so I can listen to the commentary afterwards, which is always good for a laugh. He demonstrates his usual bonhomie here, making the most of a pretty so-so movie by drawing parallels and comparisons between the film and his youth in Baltimore, various actor "types" that he knows, and his experiences as a film director. It's fun hearing him make an observation and then laugh, as if it just occurred to him, and he genuinely likes the actors he works with in this flick. You gotta love the guy, no matter what you might think of his movies.
