Graeme Clifford is interviewed by the director of the DVD featurette, David Gregory. Clifford twice uses the excuse of "I made the film 20 years ago" to cover his lack of preparation for the commentary, and both he and Gregory make factual errors in regards to the subject. There are occasional pauses, with about half of the commentary being scene-specific and the rest production backstory. Clifford is evasive about his motivation for making the film, but implies it was his own psychiatric past that made him empathise so much with Farmer's story. Perhaps the details may have made him more interesting to listen to, since he sometimes comes off as a bore.
