Mr. Laspina here acts as interviewer, asking many questions. Mr. Bakshi answers the questions to the best of his memory, or opinion, as the case may be. Early on, Mr. Bakshi says he wanted to do the movie in the style of Frank Frazetta’s comic books, not paintings. I find that interesting. They both talk extensively about the animation process and talk about how the process hasn’t really changed much with the advent of computers. Mr. Bakshi relates his admiration for Frank Frazetta and Mr. Frazetta’s working style (every scene is taken individually, so they all look different). It’s an interesting track from both a historical point of view, as well as a technical one.
