Dustin Hoffman and Samuel L. Jackson have clearly recorded their commentaries separately. I don't think Hoffman is even watching the movie during his comments, his part is more like an interview. He speaks a little in the beginning, but then remains silent for most of the movie as Jackson takes the lead.

Jackson is following the scenes in his comments and offerd quite a lot of facts and details about the production. He is funny, and fills his stories with a lot of self irony. He does stay silent at times, but his stuff is worth a listen, if you like this movie.

Also, Hoffman, while not speaking that much, manages to give his personal insight about "sci-fi" movies like this. He says that this is the most technical movie he has ever acted in. He confesses he didn't really enjoy the technical aspect of the shoot (blue screen acting, setting up the complex takes time and time again etc.), and probably won't do this kind of movies anymore. Honest guy, this Hoffman :)

A reasonably interesting track. Jackson has more to say than Hoffman and as the review above points out, it sounds like Hoffman' recording is an interview, while Jackson is actually viewing the film.
Either way, theres a lot of information here and while Hoffman is dry, Jackson is a lot of fun.

One thing that really bugs me is that both participants discuss the alternate ending which is not featured on the DVD, but has been shown on TV in the US. I would have liked to have seen this on the DVD.

A solid commentary.
