Often funny, sometimes informative -- good example of young filmakers getting a big break, and all the "fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants" activity that goes into making a multi-million dollar project. They don't take their "art" too seriously (hello, it is the 9th installment!), which makes it heads and tails above other Friday the 13th commentaries.

This track was hilarious! They seem like pretty cool, down to earth guys who had no illusions as to what kind of film they were making. Lots of funny, interesting antidotes about the film, cast and crew. It's often commentaries like this that make me appreciate, or at least tolerate, an otherwise stinker of a film. Obviously a labor of love by a couple genre fans.

Agree with the above. The director and screenwriter sound like they have been chums since they were kids. I've listened to this track a couple of times. These guys knew what they were doing, tweaking the franchise a bit to liven things up. They totally own up to any mistakes they made. It's that air of transparency that is so refreshing with these types of commentaries. The fact that the director Marcus calls out his own "Film School" shots is hilarious. They have an extensive knowledge of the franchise and tell some touching and amazing stories about the great Kane Hodder as well. 9/10
