This is a disappointing effort by Streisand, who was also the executive producer of the film. There are long pauses and she is not always scene-specific in her comments. When she does speak she is eloquent but often preoccupied with her costumes, and she repeats herself on a few subjects. She is best when discussing the autobiographical components of the screenplay, and has a few stabs at her director who notorously betrayed her confidence in print at the film's release. She also comments on the score, character, her singing live for the film, casting, and the rationale for the last song being shot and edited in one take.
