Kevin Smith, producer Scott Mosier, actors Jeff Anderson, Brian O'Halloran, Jason Mewes, Trevor Fehrman, and Jennifer Schwalbach 90 a.ka Mrs kevin Smith) all have a blast talking through this film. I listened to this before going to sleep and it was a big mistake as the giggling kept me awake. Anyone that has listened to a Kevin Smith commentary will know what to expect and its great that we get yet another top notch commentary from the 'gang'
Highly recommended

This is a great Informative and Hilarious commentary from one of the kings and his crew. This is one of my all-time favorite commentaries, and this is only the 2nd best on the dvd! I can't review the 3RD Commentary "Podcast Commentary" with Kevin Smith,Scott Mosier, and Jeff Anderson, which along with Evil Dead 2 and this commentary and Clerks. X and Mallrats is in my Top 5.

And since I reviewed 2 commentaries here from this disc,I'll review the other "Technical" commentary. Don't think it still won't be funny, it is,just more well technical.

This is one of my favorite commentaries of all time - in fact, it made me laugh harder than the actual film itself (and it's not like I didn't enjoy the actual film in the first place, either - I did)! Kevin Smith does an excellent job (as usual) asking questions of all the cast members and keeping them involved as everything unfolds onscreen. Shouldn't be surprising that the viewaskew folks once again go out of their way to provide quality DVD features, but this director and cast commentary really hits it out of the park!

Excellent commentary. A nice mix of laid back anecdotes and technical info. Great to hear DP Dave Klein talking about his side of things. Fascinating stuff all round.

One of my all-time favourite commentaries! Very very funny and also quite informative; everyone involved are all friends and all seem to be having a great time recording. Like others have said, Smith pushes the commentary along nicely and gets everyone involved. Fantastic, a must listen if you're a fan of the movie. Even if you're not that big a fan, still a great listen, very funny stuff.

I found this an enjoyable listen and normally Kevin Smith irritates me. I find him often to be extremely affected, pretentious and full of false bravado. I think that might just be more so now than then back in 2006. For some reason I don't hear him swearing constantly and he's just acting like a normal guy talking with his friends. In this commentary it's great to hear the more real side of him because he is interesting and can be funny. The other actors are great to hear from and I always wondered what their thoughts were regarding the first 'Clerks' movie which they refer to often. There are quite a few funny moments and good stories.

There's one particularly interesting point where someone ( in 2006 ) calls youtube a fad. Kevin Smith says " No man, youtube is forever " He then proceeds to ask the person listening in 2016 what they think. Kevin Smith time machine!

Chock full of techical information from the reunited crew that hadn't worked together since Chasing Amy, this commentary will be of more interest to filmmakers and those who are interested in the nuts and bolts tech specs of lighting, blocking, film stock, di, etc. But if you just listen to one commentary, make it the other one with Kevin Smith and the cast - that one is interesting AND hilarious!

All Kevin Smith commentaries are good but this one ranks at the lower end of the (Kevin Smith) scale. While the trusty commentary crew brings the usual chuckles with their anecdotes and potshots I didn't get the real laugh out loud moments that they usually manage to produce.

That said, this commentarys strenght lies, unexpectedly, in the emotional and nostalgic mood that's evoked by the participants. It's fun to hear the old crew together again and talking about what they think they would be doing if the first Clerks had never been made(sucking dick for beer money :)).

It's a recommended listen without doubt, though not quite as hilarious as Smith's usual commentaries.
