Schlosser says that he wasn’t interested in making a documentary from his book and proposed to Linklater that they take the title and create a narrative film that remained true to the spirit of the book. The two men spend most of their time split between discussing factoids pertaining to the content of the film and anecdotes about making it on this solid track.
