I really enjoyed this commentary. It was recorded during the making of Scream 2. Both Wes and Kevin give a lot of information, though I would have loved to hear more about the characters and how they were developed. Still, these two work well together. You learn a lot about the improv that the actors did, and that made me like and respect a lot of them even more than I already had (especially Matthew Lillard). I also would love to see a cast commentary on this film, in the future I hope that is a possibility. I highly recommend this commentary.

Ah, what a milestone… the very first commentary I ever listened to. It’s been years, but from what I remember both Craven and Williamson have a great, inspired time discussing the film. They offer delightful anecdotes that true ‘Scream’ enthusiasts will enjoy. A great listen, especially if you’re new to the commentary game.

Good track. Wes and Kevin recorded it in the first week of pre-production of Scream 2. No dead air in this track. They talk not only about the improv bits but how they flipped the cliches on their head. There are some moments where they point out things which even after rewatching this film dozens of times I could never pick up on. Good stuff. Not incredibly technical, light on that info but a nice conversational tone between Wes and Kevin.
