Unfortunately, there are lots of dead spots. They run up to 4 or 5 minutes sometimes. When the people do talk, they’re pretty interesting. The Pang Brothers have no qualms about revealing all of their secrets (including the ending!) and they talk about how they work, what the scenes represent and what they hope you feel when you watch those scenes. They talk about the reaction audiences had for certain scenes and they give praise (not unnecessarily, mind you) to the people who worked on the movie. Miss Lee talks about working with the young girl, Zheng Qi-qi, and her work with the Pang Brothers. She talks about her character in various scenes and relates how she prepared for some of those scenes. The visual effects guy talks about the work he did and how great the crew was. They also do crack a few nice jokes and thoughts in here, as well. It's a very nice commentary though some things are repeated in the featurettes on the second disk. It's a shame there are a lot of dead spots because what they do say is worth listening to, and it'll make you think.
