Maltin and Thompson are sitting together. Aaker is recorded separate. Martin and Thompson have a lot of information to offer: the script, the actors esp. Geraldine Page, the location in Mexico, shooting in 3 D, the director and the stunt men. They are a terrific team. Great and funny!
The best parts are the things beside Hondo. Details about Wayne’s carrier up to this point, his own production company Batjac, the upcoming of TV and Western in the fifties, the 3 D movement, the cinema post WW II, the new topic in movies and the Warner Brothers Studio.
Aaker speaks from time to time. He was nine year old during the productions. He has warm recollection about John Wayne and the shooting. This gives a nice touch to the track.
All in all this track is perfect. 10 out of 10.
