You know that quote "by the time he is forty, a man gets the face he deserves"? Well, decades later this film has gotten the commentary it deserves - a dud. Despite big box-office upon its release, PORKY'S was, and still is, dismissed as trash. You can sense that director Clark doesn't want to put any more effort into defending his involvement with it and he starts the track off wryly enough with the remark that this film probably ruined the future movie prospects of most of the cast, but, suspecting that anyone listening to the commentary might be fans of the film, he changes tack and makes attempts to justify it which are so deluded they're laughable (e.g. "the women in this film are strong" and "this would make a good novel"). Because there isn't much substance to this movie, Clark doesn't find a lot he can say about it, and in the end the commentary fizzles out while he makes an occasional remark just to remind us that he's still being recorded.
