One of five in the Hemingway Collection and one of three reviewed by Frank Thompson and Patricia King Hanson. I never really understood the movie so I got this commentary to help me out. Frank is an experienced reviewer with an endearing voice, wonderful humor that is teasingly used, and full of knowledge about the cast/production. He wrote a book on the director Henry King. Patricia likewise is very knowledgeable and editor of the AFI catalog. I wonder if her middle name indicates she is related to Henry King? Anyway, they take you through the film dishing out morsel after morsel of info that enlighten the viewer and make the film many, many times more enjoyable for me. I missed so much viewing the film years ago it was unbelievable.
