This commentary gives more information than most. The participants almost never go off subject, and while they clearly get along great, there isn't a lot of joking and laughing. I'm a big fan of this film so hearing all this information was a real treat and I'd recommend it to everyone. The only thing I didn't like about the commentary was the absence of the great John Cusack, though they discussed him, his style of acting, and his ideas often. Note that the commentary is on the second disc of the collectors edition, set to the Director's Cut and not the Theatrical Version. I suggest watching the Director's Cut without the commentary first because there are a few added scenes and a completely different ending.

This is a very fun and informative commentary, one that I'm sure I'll return to one day. All the participants really seem to have liked making this movie and are obviously proud of it. The screenwriters say they have seen many different cuts of the movie before this one, and are constantly surprised at what scenes made it in to the director's cut. All in all, highly recommended and well worth your time.
