Series director Bob Spiers pulls a solo effort for all 6 episodes. He follows the maxim of "If one has nothing interesting to say, say nothing at all". It's a shame more commentaries aren't like this. He only pipes up when he was something interesting to say, which is quite often really. He clearly enjoyed his time on the series and making it. Although he does use the term "Unsung hero" about 8 times every episode, each time referring to a different crew member.

The commentary for Series 1 sucked big time. But Bob actually has quite a lot to say. There's just one problem, the audio for the show is louder than the commentary. I could barely hear a word he said.

Disappointing, but at least it had potential.
