It's always my fear that when you have only one person doing a commentary track that it can be...dry. Luckily Tim's solo recording was actually pretty informative.

On several occasions Tim goes into detail about his idea/the overall conception of Galactus' appearance in the movie. He admits to it not being like the comics and that he the fans weren't too pleased with it, but he chose to/had to do it that way as to not shoehorn the "Silver Surfer" solo movie director (in development at the time) into a certain interpretation of Galactus. Although the execution of the character left a lot to be desired, it was nice to hear the reasons behind the decisions (instead of whiny fanboys just complaining about it).

FUN FACTS:

-Andre Braugher's General character was originally Nick Fury, but they had to change it when it was revealed to Tim that Marvel had plans to do a SHIELD movie (which ended up becoming the Marvel Cinematic Universe).

-The power switching plot was Avi Arad's idea.
Commentary 2: Producer Avi Arad, screenwriter Don Payne, and film editors Peter S. Elliot and William Hoy Rating: no votes yetLogin to vote or review

A producer, screenwrtier and two editors - a pretty good combination of people to talk about the movie. In typical Avi fashion, he speaks the least and tends to only pipe in with some witty comments, to point out Stan Lee's cameo and other comic book-y things that most comic nerds will already know.

Editors William and Peter speak a lot about scenes being cut or "subpar VFX" coming to them late in the game and having to deal with that.

About as informative as the Tim Story solo commentary, so I'd recommend both.
