Avary provides a rather exhaustive account of making his first movie as a director. It feels like you're along for the ride as he details his exploits in France, attempting to get the funds and desired actors to make his "bank heist" film. What's equally reassuring is hearing Roger long for the Corman days of making pictures, under the constraints of budgets and desirable exploitative elements. He covers all aspects of the movie; themes, color schemes, MPAA cuts are all addressed. A really great track, just like his "Rules of Attraction" Commentaries. Highly recommended. And, Tarantino fans will be satisfied by the bevy of Quentin-related anecdotes. 8/10
