The idea of this sounds a lot better than it actually is. (Ditto when Coogan talks about recording it on the other track.) It's a nice conceit to have the fictional Partridge talking about the programme supposedly made about his life (we're told everyone else in the programme, apart from Lynne, is an actor playing a real person and recreating real events) but in truth it doesn't come off, mainly because Partridge is such a prat that in reality you wouldn't really want to spend 5 minutes in his company let alone 3 hours. Also, it has to be said that ad-libbing isn't necessarily Coogan's strength so there's a lot of um-ing and ah-ing as he (and co-star Montague) try to think of things to say while remaining in character.
Partridge die-hards will probably want to give it a listen but not recommended for the casual listener.
