I'd say this commentary certainly helps you to be armed ahead of time (of course there are also the docos on the Collector's Edition disc to lay the film down for you)because Rubin and Cork do a postively forensic, sorting out the 'mess' of CASINO ROYALE with who-did-what-and-why, providing just about everything any fan of this film would need to know. I've long been fascinated by this film and its history after seeing it as a kid on TV (small screen size and chopped up with advertisements) so it's immensely satisfying to hear all the background behind it before watching this restored widescreen print (I only "listen" to audio commentaries, never "watch" them).
