This was a delightful commentary track, full of interesting tid-bits about the making of the movie, including several scenes that required CGI (including the Ryan Reynolds turtlehead), and about the labors of having to re-write an ending. Writer Peter Chiarelli also talks about how the movie is a veiled allegory to the Hollywood producer-assistant relationships we all dread.

There's very little schmoozing of the actors or each other, there are almost no long breaks where they get lost in the movie, and plenty of behind-the-scenes extras. Director Ann Fletcher also acknowledges several of the production staff, which is always nice.

As a screenwriter, I'm always partial to commentaries that feature the writer. Clearly, Fletcher values close relationships with writers and they talk a great deal about the writing process.

They talk about deleted scenes being on the DVD, but there are none on the DVD I own so I'm not sure if that's something they omitted last second or if there are other DVDs (collector's editions, etc.) that I'm not aware of.
