"We got away with Blue Murder." This line sums up Director Vaughns' opinion of his Superhero film. His commentary is very wry and blunt with numerous bits of humour added in. It's amazing that he will helm the "X-men: The New Class" project after hearing him riff on the whole genre of Superheroes. He takes some jabs at Marvel, and even Mark Millar while pointing out the homages to previous Superhero flicks like Superman, Batman, and Spider-man. Vaughn reveals his choices in scene-specific detail, whether they are decisions on music, tone, or actors. Any fan of Capes and Cowls should listen to this chat. It's as brutal and unforgiving as "Kick-Ass" itself.

While the director Matthew Vaughan can easily come across as pompous and irritating he has a lot of interesting things to say about every aspect of this film. He covers every angle from story adaptation to the final cut. Lots of great stories about the shooting and locations too. The best kind of commentary.
