Fun and honest actor/director track. Cage is good-humored about his method acting and admits he was sometimes difficult to work with, especially as a young actor. It's enjoyable to hear him chuckle at some of his choices. We learn that Bierman made Cage do a second take with the cockroach as an act of revenge. I loved Cage's explanation of a certain "boo-hoo" moment and a simple technique to get the tears going. There's a fun tribute to Mick Jagger too. They're clearly proud of the film and do a fairly good job dissecting the dark insanity. Maybe Bierman had no choice and had to follow Cage's ridiculous path, but he seems on board- that's a brave guy. The script came from Joseph Minion who also wrote After Hours- what a writer!
