Farhadi provides a worthy commentary, without too many silent gaps. He touches upon a few production details - how Islamic law influenced some of his choices in filming the women in certain shots, he notes that he and a few of the actors spent many hours observing interrogators for inspiration, that he sought to make this film look like a documentary and often used only one camera, he reveals that a sobbing camera operator was the cause for some edits, and offers that they used prosthetics to give the facial features of one actor a different look for a section of the film. These technical details are sparse, however. Far and away, most of the commentary is Farhadi elaborating on character motivations.
