Another very solid Icons of Fright track. This is a website that was doing commentaries for films (such as this and Child\'s Play) when the studios had come up very short at the time when it came to special features. Quite surprising for both their tracks to appear on this release. The highlights are probably when they talk about Roddy McDowell and his extraordinary career. 8/10
Commentary 2: Screenwriter/director Tom Holland, actors William Ragsdale and Stephen Geoffreys, special effects artist Randall Cook, and moderators Jeremy Smith and Tim Sullivan Rating:9.0/10 (1 vote) [graph]Login to vote or review

As mentioned these tracks were originally done for a website many years ago. So I listened to it lining up my mp3 to the original MGM DVD. This is an outstanding track. There should be more commentaries done in this way for films with no special features but there doesn't seem to be many, I think this website only did the three, two for this film and one for Child's Play. There's a looseness to it missing from most official commentaries and I wonder if any of the comments have been edited out for legal reasons from the Twilight Time release? Everyone has a genuine camaraderie, even with Randy Cook, the effects guy and hearing all their backgrounds is genuinely interesting and has a depth lacking from official commentaries. There is a good balance of entertaining fun and interesting stories, ranging from teeth used in the vampires to the sexuality of the vampires and Brad Fiedel's wonderful score. 9/10
