Being a huge fan of both Eric Red and this film I was nervous to listen to this commentary as I had never really heard him speak much before and not abut this film. But this track is excellent and ticks all my expected boxes and then some - he provides history, inspirations, technical detail such as camerawork, writing style, story structure and progression, casting, set pieces. My only disappointment, and there is no real reason he would have talked about this, he didn't really go into his collaborations with Kathyrn Bigelow espcisally on Near Dark. Here's hoping Shout get to do that one and fix that gap also. 8/10
