Considering the nature (no pun intended) of the movie the commentary is, not surprisingly, focused mainly on the actual filming. As one would expect Vallee and Papandrea spend most of the time talking about the different locations and the many difficulties of making a movie like "Wild".
Vallee points out early on that most of the movie was shot hand-held and that natural light played a huge part in the whole filming process. They talk about the lack of score and the relience of "source music" (99% source music, according to Vallee). The famous "Backpack vs. Reese Witherspoon" scene at the beginning is also covered (the backpack was indeed really, really heavy, it's not an empty prop).
They have good stuff to say about the actors but don't worry, this is certainly not "let's praise the hell out of everyone for 90 minutes"-type commentary.
Personally, I really love the ending of "Wild" and I'm glad that on this commentary Vallee talkes about it in detail - from the steadicam work, through the music and certain people who show up on the screen, to the weather conditions.
All in all, a good listen. I would recommend it.
