Robert Altman is a brilliant director, but this was one of his weaker film. The comentary is also lackluster. He has some good things to say but that are spread out between alot of filler.

I disagree a little with the previous review. It's true that Altman's is only one of many voices here and true that this film is not the best among his output, but the blending of these many commentators all talking about their areas of creativity makes for a really illuminating tour through the film. It is as if the movie is being used as a reference film to illustrate various elements of film technique. I was surprised at the clarity from the many blended comments--sort of an Altmanesque approach to a commentary and a real education.
