Good commentary by Kevin Costner. He provides a lot of insight into why he made the film the way he did, as well as interesting information about working with the other actors and the locations.

A candid commentary by a seasoned director. It offers a lot of detail about the production and it comes off as a very personal account. I found it interesting to hear Costner in such an intimate way, has great respect for the process and the actors and is very proud of his work.
The movie itself is odd, slow paced and has some bad choices. Example: the closing scene is drawn out and rather unnecessarily. Costner talking about it doesn’t make it good but you get a little appreciation from the love and dedication behind it.
The whole thing reminded of Truth or Dare when Costner comes backstage to greet Madonna and all he has to say is “that was neat” and she wants to puke - because Costner isn’t shocked or outraged or all over her, he’s just a genuinely nice, down to earth guy trying to be nice to her.
